    Detailed description

    As with other coastal lidos across the country, Jubilee Pool is designed as a seawater pool with no mechanical filtration and minimal chemical treatment.

    The quality of the water is carefully a maintained with a regime of daily water replacement that is timed with the outgoing and incoming tides; and the water in the learner pool is normally replaced daily when a small amount of chlorine is added.

    Jubilee Pool Café is back open indoors and out! They have a takeaway hatch open on the top terrace offering a seasonal picnic by the pool, fresh Yallah coffee and local tray bakes from St Ives Bakery. .

    Relax, unwind and enjoy the view in the geothermal pool, the first of its kind in the UK.  Bathe in natural salt water heated to between 30-35 degrees by a geothermal well.

    Free on-street parking is available on the Prom and surrounding streets on a first come, first served basis.  Other paid-for car parks are nearby including St Antony’s Gardens and Wharfside Car Park.

    Our facilities (much of which was built in the 1930s) have been adapted for improved accessibility to enable those with additional access needs to enjoy our lido.

    We have ramped access into the premises from the western side entrance near the café for wheelchairs, scooters, prams and buggies.
    Our ticket kiosk and café servery area have accessible tills for those in wheelchairs.
    We have a accessible toilet in our café and a specific accessible toilet, shower and changing room on poolside.
    We have ramped access to the poolside.
    Our geothermal pool has a ramp straight into the water.
    Our main pool has a hoist* to help those with mobility issues into and out of the water.  Please just ask one of our staff if you’d like to use this and they can help.
    All of our staff are trained in equal opportunities, disability and mental health awareness.   We welcome all of the community to the pool and ensure it is accessible and friendly.
    Further improvements to our disabled changing room have made during our changing room upgrades.

    We offer a concession rate for those with specific health care access needs and free swimming for carers if their assistance is required for swimming.
