Godolphin House National Trust

An ancient and atmospheric estate between Helston and Hayle in Cornwall, with a medieval garden and historic house. Famous for its bluebells in spring, the House was also a major filming location for the BBC's Poldark series.

There is limited access for wheelchairs due to some difficult slopes, but a Tramper is available to hire.

The Gardens

When Sir Francis Godolphin built his garden in the 16th century, he was one of the most important and influential inhabitants of Cornwall. Much survives from his original layout, making the garden at Godolphin of national importance. The King's Garden, The Side Garden, The Paddock and The Orchard offer varied settings in which to experience the beautiful sights, sounds and smells of gardens in different eras.
