Mobility / Wheelchair Support

Parking is easy and there is disabled parking close to the entrance of the garden Centre Cafe.

Access to Cafe

To access the cafe there are two entrances to cafe and another to the right which is to the plant section of the garden centre.  The entrance to the left of the main doors is for people with mobility issues, this will take you in to the main cafe where you can buy food and beverages.  The top entrance is a quieter area and  level.  (there are about 11 steps to access ground floor or access can be gained by the disabled entrance.   To access the cafe from the top  area you would have to go outside and use the  entrance to the left of the main Entrance.    (access to the main entrance, is level the entrance for less mobile people is on  a small gradient.)

Access to the cafe is easy it has room to order and the staff are pleasant.  Seating within the lower part of the restaurant is of a high standard and comfortable.  Movement within the cafe for wheelchair/frames users is relatively easy.

Top Section of Cafe

The top part of the cafe is quieter and level and seating is comfortable and is spaced for easy access. (the only issue with the top part of the cafe is that you may have to go outside and down the slope to access the cafe and toilet)

Access to toilets

Toilets and Disabled toilets are on the ground floor of the cafe and the disabled toilet is large and easy for wheelchair users. All equipment is available and there is a pull cord in case of emergencies.   (again if you are sat in the top part of the cafe you would have to go out of the door and access the toilet through the disabled entrance).

There is also a quiet corner  with table and chairs as you walk in to the lower part of the restaurant by the disabled entrance on the right hand side.(this is level)

The Lelant Dobbies Garden Centre and Cafe has undergone a high standard of updating and is a pleasant place to have a nice meal or a coffee and is easily accessible for most people.
