    Restaurant

    The dining area at The County Arms is very accessible with most of the dining area accessible for wheelchairs. There is also an accessible toilet close to the dining area and several quiet areas that staff can direct people too if they have hearing impairment or sensory processing sensitivity.

    The menu is availble on the website and features a choice of pub classics, build-your-own burgers, some lighter lunch options, and a selection of mouth-watering sweet options, including a classic cream tea. There is a very detailed version of the menu online which features key allergen and nutrition information.

    All levels of The County Arms are accessible and there are two accessible spaces on the first upper level by the main entrance and two more by the beer garden on the bottom (third level). There is also parking on the mid level with fairly level access to the Function Room, which can also be accessed by stair lift from the main dining area.

    Dogs are welcome in the bar area, and there is a full selection of drinks on offer, and an extensive wine list.

    The children's menu contains reasonably-priced favourites, and vegetarian options. The main menu has vegetarian and vegan choices marked.

     

    Hotel

    The County Arms offers hotel style accommodation in Truro and there are two wheelchair accessible rooms available, which include a wetroom bathroom with hoist, and king-sized or twin beds. You can book one of the universal rooms online or call the reservations team for more information. In total, there are 33 bedrooms and a combination of double, twin, family and superior rooms, some with glorious woodland views.

    Superior rooms are spacious, with countryside views and a seating area, with some enjoying a Juliet balcony. All rooms have flat-screen TVs, handmade Vi-sprung beds, and enough space for working (if you're travelling on business).

    Dogs are not permitted in the rooms, except for assistance dogs.

    Parking

    There is a free car park adjacent to the property. On the upper level there are two accessible spaces close to the main entrance and also a marked drop off area. The door to the main entrance is power assisted.

    There are two more accessible spaces in the lowest level of the overflow car park next to the beer garden, which is accessible via ramps and stairlift to the rest of The County Arms.

    There is a mid level car park with fairly level access to the Function Room.

    There are two Electric Vehicle charging points in the upper level of the car park.

    Toilet facilities

    There is an accessible toilet near to the hotel reception and at the entrance to the main dining area of The County Arms. This meets all of the recommended accessibility design guidance in terms of width for wheelchair transfers, height of toilets, sinks and shelving and offers a high standard of accessibility.

    There is a baby changing facility in the accessible toilet.

    Mobility / Wheelchair Support

    The County Arms prides itself on full wheelchair and buggy accessibility. The restaurant is on a single level, with hard flooring, and the chairs and tables can be rearranged if necessary. There is a stairlift as well as access via the car park to the Function Room and the beer garden is accessible via the car park and via ramped access and stair lift from the main dining area. Please note, you will need assistance from a member of staff to use the stairlift.

    There are wheelchair accessible rooms in the hotel, with wetroom bathrooms for guests convenience. Book one of our universal rooms online or give us a call for more info.
