    Bosinver Farm Cottages is a self-catering resort where 20 individual detached self-catering cottages are set in 30 acres of peaceful farm and woodland in a sheltered valley, close to St Austell in Cornwall, near the coast. Here, children can play freely, couples and families can relax together and nature is truly on the doorstep.

    Laid out much like a small hamlet, Bosinver truly is a magical place. Set in a tranquil valley not far from the south coast, our 20 holiday cottages sit in 35 acres of wildflower meadows and beautifully landscaped gardens.

    From eco homes to carefully converted former farmhouses, each of our cottages has been individually designed with luxury in mind.  With stylish interiors and open plan living spaces, no matter which of our cottages you choose, we know you’ll enjoy every detail we’ve lovingly put in place for you.

    Bosinver Farm Cottages is a self-catering resort where 20 individual detached self-catering cottages are set in 30 acres of peaceful farm and woodland in a sheltered valley, close to St Austell in Cornwall, near the coast. Here, children can play freely, couples and families can relax together and nature is truly on the doorstep.

    Laid out much like a small hamlet, Bosinver truly is a magical place. Set in a tranquil valley not far from the south coast, our 20 holiday cottages sit in 35 acres of wildflower meadows and beautifully landscaped gardens.

    Bosinver are understanding that every guest has different needs and aim to make our cottages and facilities available and accessible to all guests equally, wherever possible. There are three cottages that really stand out and deliver on accessibility, Buddleia, Olearia and Lowen. It is a wonderful place to bring adults and children with specific special needs. It is a friendly, safe and relaxed environment and everyone is welcome to join in and interact with the animals at feeding time. The play barn has a soft play area and the whole family can chill out there. There bed guards and booster seats and take care to make everything as safe as possible, inside the cottages and around the farm.

    Really catering to every need, Bosinver have included allergy sufferers and provide non allergenic bedding, pet free cottages, freezer meals for gluten and nut free/diabetics on request, paraben-free hand soap/products and non-bio washing powder

    For those hard of hearing you can request a portable hearing loop in office and sound monitors for carers

    For the sight impaired, service animals are permitted and even guide dog bowls/treats/poo bags are provided. The website is W3C compliant with downloadable pages. You can even borrow a magnifying glass on site!

    If you are a young family with babies/toddlers, a raft of free equipment and help with luggage/kit/storage/unpacking grocery deliveries is available.

    Many of our cottages are suitable for people with limited mobility as they are single storey with level access and parking right outside the door. Some also have large walk in showers – all with grab rails and non- slip mats for extra comfort.     There is wheelchair access to Buddleia, Olearia and Lowen cottages and reception, the laundry, play barn, pool and games room are all wheelchair accessible with smooth surfaces to reach each place. The Buddleia and Olearia Cottages have wide access doors and bathroom facilities for people in a wheelchair. Access to both cottages is level and there is parking alongside. Lowen’s ground floor is also fully accessible for wheelchair users and has a double bedroom and a wetroom on the ground floor. Going for that extra help and detailing, a shower wheelchair and shower stools can be provided on request.

    Parking

    Car Parking

    There is car parking without charge alongside every cottage on level tarmac or concrete. The accessible cottages, Buddleia, Olearia and Lowen have ramped access into the cottage, all the others have thresholds. There is room to allow access to all parts of a parked car and parking areas are lit by lamps.

    Main Entrance & Office
    Reception has one door with level access onto a tiled floor. Office staff will provide assistance where needed. On arrival there is a familiarisation tour, on level tarmac. A pad, paper, magnifying glass and hearing loop are available at the office desk and the lighting is by LED light. Additional keys are available on request. Office is manned from 9am to dusk.
    Dog water bowls are provided and a kennel for leaving them if required. Guide dogs are allowed in cottages showing the paw symbol.

    Toilet facilities

    There are public WC facilities in the soft play and swimming pool which provide wheelchair accessible facilities.

    Bathroom, Shower-room & WC
    Olearia Cottage:  has an ensuite bathroom with space to turn wheelchair around. Low bath with fitted seat and grab rails. Tiled floor and wooden door for access. Toilet has support rails. Shower cubicle 900mm tray with step and
    glass doors. Shower is thermostatic and a shower seat is provided.

    Buddleia Cottage: has non slip lino type flooring in en suite wet room. Corner WC with grab rails. Shower curtain around thermostatic shower with seat fitted to wall and easy wheelchair access and turning space. Wooden door
    to enter on the level.

    Lowen Cottage: has a wet room with non-slip flooring, grab rails and wheelchair access.

    Mobility / Wheelchair Support

    Three of the properties (Buddleia, Hydrangea and Lowen) are designed for people with limited mobility, using wheelchairs, accompanied by others. Other properties are suitable for ambulant people with limited mobility as they are one storey and have parking alongside.

    Buddleia Cottage: Easy access for disabled/wheelchair users with wide doors and grab rails. We’ve also got a shower wheelchair available to borrow if you need one – just let us know. To discuss the suitability of this cottage for your needs please call us on 01726 72128.

    Olearia Cottage: Olearia is also an ideal retreat for anyone with mobility issues. It has level access and parking right outside the cottage, plus a large en-suite shower room which is fully equipped for wheelchair users (including a walk/wheel-in shower and grab rails for easy transfer). We’ve also got a shower stool or shower wheelchair you can borrow – just let us know what you need and we’ll do our best to help.     Lowen Cottage: The ground floor is accessible for disabled/wheelchair users with wide doors and grab rails. There’s level parking right outside.     Buddleia Cottage: has level access via ramp through conservatory. Kitchen on right with ceramic tiled floor. All units are normal worktop height. Lighting is fluorescent tube. There is an integrated electric oven with gas hob. There is a freestanding fridge freezer, dishwasher and microwave.

    Lowen Cottage: has level access via ramp through conservatory and slate floor to kitchen with induction hob. All units are normal worktop height with midlevel built-in oven. There is a large American-style freestanding fridge freezer, dishwasher and microwave. Lighting is LED.
