    Bodmin Gallery is a welcoming space in the centre of Bodmin that nurtures and showcases local creative talent from Bodmin and beyond. The Gallery aims to be a space for the community, encouraging connection, conversation and collaboration and there are community events and workshops held on the lower floor. The upper gallery is accessed via steps but the lower floor does offer step free accessibility which allows access for some wheelchair users.

    Bodmin Gallery is a welcoming space in the centre of Bodmin that nurtures and showcases local creative talent from Bodmin and beyond. The Gallery aims to be a space for the community, encouraging connection, conversation and collaboration and there are community events and workshops held on the lower floor.

    The upper gallery is accessed via three steps from the main street entrance and creative work by local artists from Bodmin and beyond is showcased in this area.

    The lower floor does offer step free access.  This area is where community events and workshops are held and the team do their best to support access needs of those using the space.

    Parking

    Bodmin Gallery is situated at 61 Fore Street in Bodmin. The nearest accessible parking spaces are in Priory Car Park at the lower end of the street which are about 5 minutes walk away. Blue Badge holders who have registered under Cornwall Council's Blue Badge scheme can park for free here, but otherwise there is a parking fee. The gradient from these spaces to the Gallery is quite steep and our manual wheelchair assessor struggled to reach the Gallery independently. Alternatively, there are parking spaces on Lower Bore Street, about two or three minutes uphill from the Gallery and further parking with no time restrictions further along Higher Bore Street. Our manual wheelchair user found these spaces easier to access.

    Toilet facilities

    There are no accessible toilet facilities at Bodmin Gallery. There is a standard toilet available for people using the lower space for community events or workshops. The nearest accessible toilet is about 5 minutes away down the hill from the Gallery at Priory Park. There are also accessible toilet facilities at the intoBodmin venue, about one or two minutes away, slightly uphill and across the road from the Gallery. In addition there are accessible toilets at The Beat which is two or three minutes away from the Gallery. Access to these is available only during the individual venue opening hours.
