Discover Cornwall Mini Deaffest this weekend…

This Saturday sees the return of the popular event Cornish Mini Deaffest.

The media, arts and film festival for the deaf and hard of hearing community in Cornwall takes place on Saturday 18th September from 10am at The Britannia Inn near St Austell.

It will involve workshops and performances by comedian John Smith, children’s activities and also screenings of films made by deaf artists. Devon & Cornwall Police who sponsor the event will also be giving a presentation.

Tickets cost  £2 for daytime entry from 10am to 5pm and £10 for the evening event. There is also an informal gathering in Charlestown on Friday 17th September and a beach clean at Carlyon Bay on Sunday 19th September.
