Here at Access Cornwall we are a community interest company that helps people who have disabilities and health conditions to get out and enjoy the many amazing things that Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly have to offer.
Our amazing team of staff and volunteers all live with disabilities, hidden and visible and we go out to venues and businesses here in Cornwall and help them to be more accessible.
BUT none of this is helpful if people with disabilities and access challenges don’t know whether they can go to places – you’re hardly going to arrange a meal or day out if you don’t know if you will be able to get in, or use the loo while you’re there!
This year we want to produce a printed guide to Accessibility in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly that will help over 30,000 people with disabilities and health conditions to find accessible places they can visit all around the Duchy. Quite simply these printed guides mean freedom for many people, and give disabled people the opportunity to enjoy things many of us take for granted – a coffee with friends, a trip to the library, or a family day out.
If you’d like to help us, here are some easy to support and rewards as thanks for your help…
