    Detailed description

    Tencreek Holiday Park is a holiday park with two- and three-bedroom static caravans, and grass pitches and hardstanding for visitors to bring their own tents, caravans and motorhomes.

    The static caravans generally have 1 to 3 steps at the main entrance, and narrow doorways and passageways. Some are suitable for pets.

    The site is situated over a gently sloping site with mainly tarmac and gravel road access. There is a takeaway, bar and games room in the Castaways complex. Access to the bar, take-away and games room can be gained via either steps with a hand rail or a ramp with a width of more than 100cm with double doors open to 180cm wide. Castaways is in the majority sited upon one level with the exception being the dance floor and a small amount of seating. There is also an accessible toilet here, and another in the indoor pool area.

    The heated indoor pool is free to use for all residents of the campsite, and available to book outside of peak season for anyone else. The pool is approximately 17m x 8m in size and has a safe, constant depth of 1.3m. There is also a small toddler pool for little ones, who want a quieter area to enjoy the water. The pool is lifeguarded at all times, and under 8s and non-swimmers must be accompanied by an adult in the pool at all times. There are adult-only sessions, which are quieter.

    • Reception area has a parking zone directly outside for new arrivals to check in.
    • There is not a barrier.
    • The site is compact and all facilities are easily located within easy walking distance.

    Toilet facilities

    There are two toilet blocks on the site, for those camping or with their own caravans. Both of these have a disabled toilet for men, and for women. There are 'several wet rooms', according tot he website.

    The Castaway Bar areas also has a unisex disabled toilet.

    Mobility / Wheelchair Support

    Main Entrance & Reception
    • Access to reception is directly from the entrance driveway.
    • The door is 150cm wide.
    • Chairs and Seats are available in reception.
    • There is ample room within for a large wheelchair to manoeuvre and turn
    • Disabled accessible parking bays are outside reception for use whilst in reception or the shop.
    • There are 2 steps or a ramp to enable access to reception.

     

    All facilities are accessible by wheelchair, including the club area and pool surround. There are  few steps to access the pool itself.

    Tarmac and gravel road services all parts of the park other than the “Meadow field”

    The park is situated on gently sloping fields overlooking the sea.

    Vision Impairment Support

    The Tencreek brochure is available in large print in PDF format online, and they can post a copy of the access statement if required.
