Mobility / Wheelchair Support

The path around the lake is designed to be wheelchair and pushchair friendly, although they do close it in high winds, due to risk of falling branches.

Tramper

There is a Tramper available to hire at the Lake, for £5 for 2 hours on Wednesdays from 10am or 1pm. Our Tramper allows less mobile visitors to explore the lake - advance booking is essential to guarantee use of the Tramper. Call the South West Lakes Trust Head Office on 01566 771930 before 5.00pm on the Monday before you wish to hire the Tramper (or earlier if possible). Tramper hire may be possible on arrival if staff are present, but this cannot be guaranteed.

Anyone wishing to book must have a membership with Countryside Mobility South West - Membership must be taken out on-site if not already held. Anyone who needs to take out new membership must be on site 30 minutes early in order to complete the membership paperwork. Membership renewals or upgrades can be done online through the Countryside Mobility South West website.
