    Named one of the top holiday parks in the South West, Pentewan Sands is a Five Star Holiday Park in Cornwall with a privately-owned beach, two indoor swimming pools, excellent family facilities and a range of holiday accommodation. So whether you choose to bring your own Motorhome, Touring Caravan or Tent, or stay in one of our modern and well-equipped Holiday Homes, you can be sure that you are staying in one of the most popular, privately owned and family-friendly five-star holiday parks in Cornwall.

    Introduced in 2020, their two wheelchair friendly holiday homes provide space and comfort along with the facilities needed for those who require a little more room to manoeuvre, including wheelchair users.

     

    On-site eating can be found in the family-friendly Seahorse restaurant, The Hubbox with their speciality burgers, or Pentewan Plaice fish and chip restaurant. There is also an on-site supermarket for picking up essentials and ingredients to cook in your holiday home. The Seahorse restaurant caters for sugar free (diabetic), vegetarian, gluten free (coeliac), lactose free (dairy free), nut free and vegan specific diets. Although we provide paper straws, plastic straws are available on request.

    Activities

    The Seahorse: indoor water world, with whirlpool bath, amusement arcade and indoor soft-play zone.

    Tennis courts, cycling, children's play area on the beach.

    For the adrenaline junkies of the family, Cornwall Watersports - a RYA certified training centre, offers sailing, water-skiing, wakeboarding and much more.

    There is an entertainment schedule, including fireworks, and programmes for children and adults.

     

    Parking

    The Main entrance has level access, and most of the facilities (restaurant, pools, soft play, etc) do also.

    Parking for guests is 1 car per holiday home, generally in a space next to the property. Additional vehicles are charged £4 per night.

    Toilet facilities

    There are wetroom toilets in the two wheelchair friendly holiday homes, and several public access disabled toilets in the blocks onsite. For full details, see the Accessibility Guide, under 'Getting around inside'.

    Mobility / Wheelchair Support

    The two wheelchair friendly holiday homes have ramp access, wider doorways and corridors to allow for wheelchairs, and more space in the living areas. There are also hoists available, for the main bedrooms.

    Ramps can be provided for regular holiday homes, on request.

    It is possible to charge electric wheelchairs on site, and there is wheelchair access to most, or all, of the public buildings on the site. There is a lift in the main complex, to all floors.

    There is level access to both the fun-pool and lap pool, and a wide changing cubicle. Access to the pools are via steps, but assistance is available, and staff are trained to discuss safety concerns.

    There is a Beach Buggy wheelchair available through Cornwall Watersports on 01726 812 868, and a kayak available to hire with back support seating.

    The Seahorse restaurant is open plan and can be rearranged to suit customers' needs, with table service if required (it's usually self-service).

    Vision Impairment Support

    Glass doors and full-height windows have contrast markings.
    The walls and the doors have high colour contrast.
    The menu is in large print.
    Tables and plates have a high colour contrast.

    Hearing Impairment Support

    There is a hearing loop in reception, and all bookings can be made online through a portal, or by email.

    Autism support

    The Seahorse restaurant has a quiet area, the Crow's Nest, if required. There is usually music playing the restaurant.

    Learning Support

    Cornwall Watersports provide stand-up paddleboard lessons for adults and children with learning disabilities.
