    Coronation Park is a community managed historic park in Helston, Cornwall with a boating lake, children's play park, skate park and cafe. Managed by Friends of Coronation Park, a group dedicated to supporting Coronation Park and who are committed to manage, maintain and develop Coronation Park for the benefit of the community.

    Only a short stroll from the centre of Helston is the large Coronation Park with its huge boating lake (swan boats for hire), childrens play amenities, skate park and cafe.

    The accessibility of the site has been greatly increased for wheelchair users and people with visual impairment. There is a new car park with over 30 spaces (including a number reserved for disabled visitors).

    From the park it is possible to walk down through the Penrose estate to Loe Pool and beach.

    Our reviewers Jake and Sarah enjoyed the Roskillys Icecream and feeding the ducks most, on their visit.

    "It is accessible to walk around the boating lake and it is level. There are accessible toilets. There is a little café which is also accessible. There is a bench where birds swim in the lake or if that's not your cup of tea you can rent a bike and ride around the lake."

    Mobility / Wheelchair Support

    Coronation Park, the home of the Boating Lake and Cafe, plus a skate park, childrens park and more, is a lovely place to visit with level access and smooth with good access all round. There are some steps in some areas. There are disabled toilets with room to manoeuvre but no changing station.  Wheelchairs and those using mobility aids can get in to the Cafe. Staff were freindly and helpful here.

There are some steps in some areas. There doesn't seem to be any online guides or software to help with your visit to the lake.

    There are no hearing loops or aids but there are plenty of quiet areas if needed. There are general history information boards about the whole area.
