    The entire property has been specially adapted to allow for those who use a wheelchair, and features a wetroom, a lift between the floors, and a rise-and-fall worktop in the kitchen, for the sink, cooker and working space, amongst other features.

    This property is adjacent to a larger property that has two sections that can sleep 11 and 9 people, so could form part of an extended-family/friend-group get-together, if all sections are booked together.

    Imagine a holiday home where you can relax and enjoy the spectacular beauty of the Helford River and the ancient woodland of the magical 50 acre estate that is Calamansac – where your every need has been catered for and meticulously thought out. Where guest comfort is paramount, the space boundless and the setting idyllic.

    If you have a mobility impairment this is the house for you. Equally, if you are completely able bodied and looking for a five star retreat with access to the safe and sheltered sailing waters of the Helford River, two private beaches and fifty acres of meadow garden and woodland, then this is also the place for you.

    Aesthetically pleasing and universally accessible, the Sail Loft, offers level access from the car park into the stunning first floor living accommodation. The fully glazed, floor to ceiling, gable end windows overlooking the Helford River will take your breath away every time you enter the room.

    The Scandinavian, mid-century style furnishings will perfectly compliment the space and are somewhat moveable to adapt to your needs. The fully accessible, state of the art kitchen will be a delight for all to use. You will enjoy eating on the balcony in spring/summer and round the Tom Raffield dining table, close to the roaring log burner in winter. Centrally heated with underfloor heating throughout and individual room controls (via the house iPad) you will be warm and cosy whatever the weather.

    Access to the ground floor is via a lift or stairs. Here you have four bedrooms and three bath/shower rooms.

    Master bedroom, with super-king bed (can be 2 twin beds on request), with en-suite comprising bath, separate, large wet room shower, (removable shower chair) wash basin, wc and heated towel rail. Grab rails can be removed on request. There is space for a hoist here if you require it.

    There is an external shower for sandy children and muddy dogs.

    Location

    Calamansac is secluded, seven miles from Falmouth and close to the village of Port Navas. Access is by a steep private road, about half a mile long, leading from the centre of the village.

    Calamansac provides a unique opportunity for sailing with dinghy launching at most states of the tide (apart from low spring tides) and in any weather. There is a road through the wood to a slipway and a safe anchorage with a lock-up boat house for storage of gear.

    Parking

    There is a level hard-standing parking area immediately outside the house and a bridge walkway to the Sail Loft. Parking for up to four cars.

    Access to the property is via a pedestrian bridge.

    There are three bathrooms and a separate toilet on the floor with the living accommodation:

    • Master bedroom has en-suite bathroom with wheel/walk-in wet room shower cubicle, (removable) shower chair, bath, wc with grab rails, basin, heated towel rail and personal alarm
    • Family wet room shower with wc, basin and heated towel rail.
    • Second double bedroom has en-suite shower room, wc, basin and heated towel rail
    • Utility room with accessible wc, grab rails, basin and personal alarm
    • There is also an external shower, for muddy dogs, wetsuits, and sandy/muddy people

    Fully accessible, U shaped kitchen with Corian worktops, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, NEFF ‘slip n slide’ fan oven, induction hob, extractor fan, microwave and sink. The hob, adjoining worktop and sink are capable of being lowered and raised to suit the user’s preference.

    Vision Impairment Support

    One to two well behaved dogs @ £20 each – must be kept under control at all times and not to be allowed on furniture, in bedrooms, or to be left unattended, for the future enjoyment of all guests. There is no charge for Assistance dogs.

    There are good accessibility settings on the website, which can support people with sight loss to book online, if required.

    Hearing Impairment Support

    There is no charge for Assistance dogs.

    There is an online chat facility on the website, which can be used to book. The booking team aims to respond to emails within 12 working hours.

    Learning Support

    The Cornish Holiday Cottages team has been trained to support people with a variety of disabilities, and will go out of their way to support people who need it.
