AdSurf
Set up in 2022, after the need and desire for Adaptive Surfing in and around Bude had become increasingly evident, AdSurf recognised a huge opportunity to combine a great geographic location with an incredible community who already work together.
Starting small, we hope to develop to include everyone who wants to experience the numerous benefits of the sea and surfing, by providing accessible and adaptive surfing to people with disabilities, mental health conditions and neurodiversity.
AdSurf has access to a great deal of knowledge, experience and qualifications in adaptive surf coaching and a great local community which is already helping to facilitate this activity.
Parking
Yes – Pay and Display, with disabled bays close to our trailer. There are only two of these bays, and during peak times, such as school holidays, the car park may be full. There is another, larger car park at the next bay along, Crooklets Beach and it is a 5 – 10 minute walk back to Summerleaze across the coastal path.
Toilet facilities
What facilities are there?
There are public toilets in the car park, including a separate disabled toilet. Personal items such as keys can be left in the van or with our on-site team member (all at your own risk) but we would recommend leaving personal items with a family member or in your car. There is also a large beach hut near our trailer that has some changing facilities.

What are the meeting arrangements?
Please meet us at the ‘Big Blue Surf School’ trailer in Summerleaze car park, about 10 minutes before your lesson.

Where will I find you?
At the far end of Summerleaze Beach Car Park, Bude EX23 8HN. Follow the signs to Bude from the A39, go past Morrisons on the right-hand side and carry on until you reach a mini roundabout. Turn right towards Bude town centre and along the canal. Take the first left in front of TSB Bank, to Summerleaze Beach Car Park.
