Here at Wavehunters, we know how lucky we are to call the beautiful north coast of Cornwall our home. It's our passion and privilege to offer fun and intuitive surf lessons and sea safaris for all ages and abilities.
Our surf schools at Polzeath and Watergate Bay are right at the beachside, ready to kit you out with high quality wetsuits, boards and more. We make learning to surf a joy for all, with 1-1 private and group lessons all bookable online.
We're ready to show you the beautiful oceans lapping at our shores by boat or board. Come listen to the ocean on one of our beach yoga sessions or cool off after one of our outdoor fitness classes. We have it all waiting for you.

Detailed description
Wavehunters was born in 2002, with a minibus service transporting surfers around North Cornwall in search of waves.
And so began what would become our life’s work: sharing the place we know and love with fellow adventurous souls.
We opened our own surf school on the sands of Polzeath beach the following year, on a mission to inspire and excite and educate surfers old and new. We must have got something right: we’re now one of the biggest surf schools in the UK.
It didn’t take us long to realize that surfing was not the only way to empower people from near and far to discover this spectacular stretch of coastline. We were one of the first surf schools to embrace SUP-ing when it burst onto British shores and in 2013 we diversified further by setting up our marine adventures arm. Now we’re pretty confident that we’ve got an ocean adventure to suit everyone.
Accessibiliy Guide
Yes, in Rock there is a pontoon good for anyone who requires mobility assistance. Low tide will require a beach pick up which is a 10-15 minutes walk away and a ladder to access the boat. Skippers are always on hand to help. Please call for any help arranging a trip which requires mobility access and we will advise on best pick up and avoid low tide where possible
We endeavour to make all of our boat trips accessible to everyone and is usually from a pontoon at Padstow or Rock. If you have any mobility issues please contact the office before booking and we can advise on the best time and departure point. During spring tides there is occasionally a walk along the beaches during low tide at both Padstow and Rock. Access onto our boats from the beaches is via a small household stepladder.
