      Mousehole Rock pool is a shallow man made rockpool with amazing views across Mounts Bay. Recently renovated it is now maintained to a high standard and will hopefully be enjoyed for years to come. The access to the pool is vastly improved making it easier for those with reduced mobility but the pool itself is not ideal for wheelchair users, but accessible for some with reduced mobility. It is a tidal rock pool and a beautiful site to visit.

      Mousehole Rock pool is a shallow man made rockpool with amazing views across Mounts Bay. Recently renovated it is now maintained to a high standard and will hopefully be enjoyed for years to come. The access to the pool is vastly improved making it easier for those with reduced mobility but the pool itself is still, and always will be, a rock pool. Its is a beautiful site to visit.

      There is an accessible route from North Quay car park in Mousehole to the Rock Pool. This has a bench which has armrests and a back, which can be helpful for those who cannot walk for longer distances without resting. There are also accessible toilets here which are open all year.

      The Rock Pool is very near to the main car park near the Rock Pool Cafe, but this is sloped and there is stepped access to get to the Rock Pool.

      The pool itself is not wheelchair accessible but the area does provide amazing views.

      Parking

      The North Quay car park as you enter Mousehole is right next to the Rockpool. This is on a steep slope but is large and has accessible spaces.

      The payment machines have clear information offering options to pay via cash, card and phone(JustPark).

      Toilet facilities

      The nearest accessible toilets are the The North Quay toilets which are open all year round and include disabled facilities.

The main village car park as you enter from Newlyn is close to the Rock Pool but it is sloped and offers only stepped access to the Rock Pool. There is an accessible walkway from the North Quay car park further in the village, but do be aware this gets very busy in the summer. There is an accessible toilet at North Quay.

      The path between the Rockpool and Mousehole is relatively easy to manoeuvre a wheelchair and although bumpy it is quite flat for the majority.

      There has been effort made to take away some rocks from the path to flatten it, however a few are left, which could be a tripping hazard, especially for those with limited eyesight.

      The Rock Pool itself is not accessible for wheelchair users but it is now more suitable for those who may have reduced mobility but some ambulatory ability.
