    Visitors can indulge in a diverse range of both traditional and contemporary cuisine. The venue  also hosts live music, workshops, and various markets in its courtyard.

    The site has some accessibility but there are some areas that may pose challenges. The stepped route from the car park to the market features handrails on both sides, enabling individuals with reduced mobility to select the side that offers the best support.

    The alternative entrance is accessible without steps, using well-maintained council-owned pavements. There are designated Blue Badge parking spaces conveniently located near the entrance. Inside, visitors will find a level courtyard with a newly surfaced area.

    The food hall is spacious and bright, featuring large windows and high ceilings. The wide doorways and corridors provide easy access throughout.  The Gallery is another area, with ample natural light and an open, expansive layout.

    You can also access a lift from this area that takes you up to the upper level and the street above. The doors leading to the external accessible toilet and the lift for access upstairs are narrow and will restrict access to wheelchair users

     

     

    Parking

    The Buttermarket car park features around 100 parking spaces and is managed with intentionally low fees. Accessible Blue Badge spaces are located near the main entrance, though they are situated on a slope; flatter options can be found in another section of the car park. Pay stations are conveniently located at a low height for wheelchair accessibility and provide multiple payment methods.

    Toilet facilities

    There is a clearly signed accessible toilet with handrails in the main building. It has an emergency pull cord and drop-down rails. An accessible toilet is planned for outside in the courtyard.
