     Inside:The Tate has interconnecting galleries that are easily accessible on foot,or with a wheelchair. Staff:The Tate staff are friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. Quiet Space:There is a quiet room just off of the main balcony to the right: View and Air:The balcony provides access to the outside. Accessibility: The Tate provides many services for accessiblilty which are all listed on their website. Disabled parking : one parking bay behind the Tate  which leads directly into the Tate for access by the lift. ( a phone call is needed for this access 24 hours in advance).

    Explore the modern stories of artists in a beautiful building on the edge of Porthmeor beach in St Ives.Discover 100 years of art, celebrating how West Cornwall has welcomed and inspired artists and revealing new connections to artists from around the world.

    Artists include Alfred Wallis, Marlow Moss, Barbara Hepworth, Partou Zia, and Bob Law.

    The building is wheelchair accessible with a ramp to the front and there are wheelchairs to borrow.

    You can drop off disabled passengers but this can be tricky in the summer and there is accessible at the back of the art gallery next to the Balnoon car park where there are accessible spaces. It is helpful to call ahead and arrange this.

    There is a lot of accessibility support available for hearing and vision impairment as well as autism and learning differences, but you do need to call ahead or ask for much of this.

    Parking

    There is an accessible parking space at Barnoon car park above the gallery, which can be pre-booked. Call 01736 796226 or email visiting.stives@tate.org.uk. There is also a drop off point at the main entrance near the ramped access to the gallery. There are 30 spaces including 2 accessible spaces at Porthmeor car park a short distance from the main entrance with fairly level access but this car park gets very busy in the summer and has a maximum stay of 3 hours. Other car parks are nearby but accessed by very steep hills.

    Toilet facilities

    There is a Changing Places toilet as well as another accessible toilet near to Gallery 6. The Changing Places toilet is accessible with a RADAR key.

    There are also handrails in the non-accessible toilets which is helpful for those with some mobility challenges who do not wish to use the accessible toilets, or who do not have a RADAR key.

    There is ramped or level access to the main entrance and you can also arrange to park at the tate's one accessible space at the top of the gallery and access the main areas via their lift if you arrnage this before arrival.     Autism support

    There is a new installation Your Space created by neurodivergent artists Anna Farley which has many sensory exhibits and items that the public can interact with.
