Access Cornwall CIC – Membership Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: 29 April 2025

1. Membership Packages

We offer four membership packages:

  • Access Aware Membership: £180 /year
  • Access Training Membership: £1,050/year
  • Access Audit Membership: £1,050/year
  • Access Champion Membership: £1,750/year

Each package includes specific benefits as outlined on our Membership Page

2. Membership Benefits

Access Aware Members receive:

  • Detailed Accessibility Listing and presence on our map of accessible places in Cornwall
  • Access Cornwall membership pack 
  • Mystery Shopper report – A team member with lived experience will book or access your services and privately report back with recommendations
  • Access to our Accessible Resource Library with guides to adding accessible information online, reasonable adjustments and understanding the Equality Act, 2010
  • Quarterly newsletters with legal updates and resources
  • Invitations to regular webinars with expert speakers

Access Audit Members will  receive all the benefits of the Access Aware membership package plus:

  • Annual half-day site Accessibility Audit
  • Full access to our Accessible Resource Library with additional content including a self-audit checklist
  • Detailed bespoke Site Accessibility Report
  • Traffic-lighted Access Action Plan to improve accessibility

Access Training Members will  receive all the benefits of the Access Aware membership package plus:

  • 2-Hour Face to Face Accessibility Training Session (up to 40 staff)
  • Full access to our Accessible Resource Library with additional content including  training videos 
  • 6 places per year on live Accessibility Training Webinars

Access Champion members receive all the benefits of the Access Aware, Access Training and Access Audit packages, plus they additionally receive:

  • Two one-hour online training sessions for up to 40 employees
  • Four hours of personalised consultation

3. Payment Terms


  • Annual Subscriptions: Billed once upfront each year.

Payments are processed securely through our designated payment platforms. All fees are non-refundable except as outlined in Section 5.

4. Term and Termination

Your membership begins on the date of payment and continues for a minimum term of 12 months.

  • Annual Subscriptions: Renew annually unless cancelled with at least 30 days’ notice before the renewal date.

We reserve the right to terminate your membership immediately if you breach these Terms or engage in conduct detrimental to our mission.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Subscriptions: Cannot be cancelled during each 12-month term. No refunds will be provided. If payment fails or is withheld, we reserve the right to pursue the outstanding balance through appropriate means.
  • Cancellations: Memberships may be cancelled at the end of the 12-month term with at least 30 days’ notice. No refunds will be issued for unused time if cancelled partway through the term.

6. Use of Branding and Materials

As a member, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use our branding materials (digital badge, window sticker) for the duration of your sponsorship. You agree not to alter these materials or use them in a misleading manner.

All training materials, guides, and resources provided are for your internal use only and may not be distributed externally without our written consent.

7. Accessibility Listings

We collaborate with members to create accurate accessibility listings. You are responsible for providing truthful and up-to-date information. We reserve the right to edit listings for clarity and consistency.

8. Liability

We provide guidance and resources to assist in improving accessibility and inclusion. However, we do not guarantee legal compliance. You are responsible for ensuring your business meets all applicable laws and regulations.

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your sponsorship or use of our services.

9. Data Protection

We handle your personal and business information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By subscribing, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described therein.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated to you via email. Continued participation in our membership programme constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
