    We are here for all your dinghy, keelboat and powerboat training needs.  An independent training school based in Mylor Yacht Harbour, Falmouth, Cornwall.  This is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

    Beginner sailors and powerboaters welcome!!

    RYA accredited school with a large and versatile fleet of boats, including accessible and adapted boats.  They offer accessible sailing and powerboating training for people age 6 and up, with any kind of impairment, physical disability or learning disability.

    COVID-19 UPDATE. WE ARE RUNNING SESSIONS ON POWERBOAT, BUT WITH SMALLER GROUPS AND A MAXIMUM OF 2 BUBBLES. PLEASE GET IN TOUCH TO BOOK.

    Welcome to our accessible sailing and powerboating information page.  Ages 6 and upwards (no upper age limit).  If you have any kind of impairment, physical disability or learning disability we have scheduled sessions every week. Private sessions also available. Stay active and enjoy being on the water.

    Our sailing boats can take between 4-5 participants plus the instructor.  You can either sit back and relax and enjoy the sensation of sailing or get involved as much as you like and learn to sail.

    RYA Sailing Qualifications available on our accessible sailing boats.  Competitive racing opportunities.  Please get in touch if you would like to discuss anything.

    Our Accessibility Guide will provide you with all areas of our location, facilities, parking.  This also includes photos.  There is also a Word format version of this that you can download and print out at the bottom of the Accessibility Guide page.

    We also have a SAILING STORYBOARD which is a step-by-step picture description of what a sailing session will involve.

    Parking

    There is a wide, level car park, with accessible parking spaces. If you need one immediately outside the door, they will cone one off for you, as required in busy times.

    There is level access to the buildings with a permanent ramp.

    Toilet facilities

    There is a public toilet for disabled visitors, with level, wide access.

    These facilities have a coded access and the code is available from a member of staff.  The facilities belong to the Yacht Harbour and they are approximately 400m away from the sailing school on a level access all the way. There is also a baby changing area.

    We have a concessionary rate for disabled visitors.
    There is a public toilet for disabled visitors.
    All staff have disability awareness training.
    We have emergency evacuation procedures for disabled visitors.

    There is an area of grass for exercising dogs very close to the premises, a member of staff will direct you to this. If you require any help with exercising your dog, then please just ask any of our instructors who will be happy to assist.
    We have an area to charge mobility scooters and battery powered wheelchairs.
    We have an indoor kit room with electricity for recharging and storing any items.

    You can hire mobility equipment from EPC Wheelchcairs by calling 01872 218008.
