Beaches are not known for being especially wheelchair accessible. Neither are they particularly friendly for those with disabilities in general given the number of potential hazards such as the sea, crowded beaches and background noise of people and the ocean. But Cornwall’s beaches are so beautiful, and some beaches, such as Par near St Austell have been making a special effort to cater for the needs of those with disabilities by improving wheelchair accessibility and paths for those with other mobility issues.
